In perfekter digitaler Bildtäuschung hat der englische Fotograf Paul M. Smith den Popstar Robbie Williams als CD-Heft in dessen Liebe zum Fußball portraitiert: Robbie als Fußballphantasie pur: als Team, Gegenteam, Trainer, Fan, Schiedsrichter und Teamarzt zugleich: An der Hybridisierung eines Kults mit dessen notwendigen differenzierten (Mit-) Spielern wird die Individualität von Kultmenschen be- und hinterfragt, ihr Status hiatisch durchkreuzt.

In a perfectly digitalized optical illusion, the English photographer Paul M. Smith portrays the pop star Robbie Williams and his passion for soccer: Robbie as pure soccer fantasy: as team, opponent team, trainer, fan, referee and team physician, all at the same time. In the hybridisation of a cult with its much needed, differentiated (co-)players, the individuality of cult figures is questioned and their status coherently crossed.
